Melt Index: some denoms make items cheaper in denom terms over time, which is the melt doing its job, not a bug in our thermometer.

The Melt Wall

Every asset priced in your denom, and every badge names the window it was measured over. buys more = your denom gains ground on that thing. buys less = that thing is escaping your money. The default window is the full record, anchored at 1971 where the dollar and gold reach back that far: a coin can lose ground over twelve months and still buy many times more over everything it has ever traded. That is volatility, not a trend.
